Taste, like style and fashion, provides a constant and
deliciously moving target. Who sets tastes? Who discerns
them? Who are the taste makers? Is taste objective or subjective?
While these questions may never be answered, on November
5th GrossArt will attempt to define TASTE through an exhibition
of contemporary art.
The exhibition will feature a sampling of work by six California
artists whose work defines their chosen style. From pure
abstraction, to colorfield influenced landscapes, to painterly
figurative work, to a more graphic and hard-edge style of
illustration, there promises to be something for everyone
… a wide range of styles, sizes, and prices … in short,
something for every TASTE.
